Oh no, they're rising.

Fished the Farmington again last night and ended up with about 8 fish. Even caught a few risers on dries. I hate to be sacriligious, but dry fly fishing is just boring. The only way I can think of that would make it more palatable, would be if you were floating a river. I hate sitting in one spot casting to finicky fish - it's too much of a pain in the ass.

Anyway, here's a few photos from yesterday's jaunt:

  1. Wahh. Boo Hoo. I hate casting to finicky fish. Some people actually LIKE a challenge. Maybe, as you continue to fish, your skills will continue to progress, and you could learn to accept a challenge. Shit, you might as well fish bait if you want it to be easy. Hey, at least you already have plenty of bobbers ;)

  2. you don't really want to go down this road, do you "Mr. I need to practice nymphing so I maybe will someday land a steelhead"?

and... it really isn't much of a challenge - I caught a bunch of fish on dries and lost several others - I'm not boasting, I'm just saying... It's boring, dude, face it! When I'm fishing dries, I feel like an old fart sitting in his pussy pool all day - it sucks.

  3. Uh, yeah. And watching for your bobber to move. Now there's some excitement. Go sit in your pussy pool and play with your bobber.

  4. I like fishing dries because it's fun, and exciting when they hit. I like fishing streamers because I could always use the casting practice. And I like fishing nymphs because I like to catch fish once and a while.
